Sincere condolences to all Peter's siblings, and the wider Hackett family.
Peter will be fondly remembered for the good heart he had, for his wise cracks and shared outlook on the world around him - always speaking his mind.
May your many memories be held in your hearts.

Dear Pete (aka equine podiatrist )
It was so lovely to see you last Tuesday when you called in. You were full of life and always going well. Donald and I appreciated your many visits and stories. We loved your visits. We will miss you.
You would come to shoe the horses at the farm and you were always on time but Donald was usually not.
We managed!
Our deepest sympathy to the Hackett family.
There was only one Pete.
May you rest in peace.
Lots of love and thanks from Donald and Petrine Wickham.
Sorry we could not make your farewell service but we certainly will be thinking of you.

I was saddened to hear of Peter’s tragic passing. The occasions when I saw him always reminded me of our childhood- of loud, wonderful gatherings at Grandma and Pop’s home. That bond of being first cousins and growing up together in such a big family never faded. I am sending all my love and deepest sympathies to the family.
