Louisa was a person who made a difference. She was very community minded and gave her all to Playcenter, School activities and community activities - she is sorely missed. Deepest sympathy to her family.

Words cannot describe my wonderful first cousin and I am just so sorry I can’t be with you all tomorrow. Louisa and I grew up together in Marton and Louisa was more like a sister to me. We were at school together and also spent every Christmas together along with her three brothers. My mother as well as her aunt was her godmother and when my parents needed help because I live so far away she was always there for them. Louisa and I shared so many happy moments together and I will treasure these memories forever. With much love from us all Jane, Michael, Charles, Kate, India and Freddie UK

Russ and I knew Louisa & Bruce through the Marton Golf Club.
Both wonderful members always there to do their bit and we are sad to hear of Louisa’s recent diagnosis and passing.
Big hugs to Bruce & family, we have you in our thoughts xx

Anthony and I are so very sad to hear that Louisa has died. We were fortunate enough to catch up with each other last March, a year ago, when we visited Whanganui with David and Sue Gibbons. As always a happy reunion!
Louisa’s father John was my guardian while I was at Nga Tawa while my parents were in the Philippines, and the Openshaw’s gave me and my brother at Huntley, a home from home. Louisa was a part of the Openshaw welcome.
What a worthwhile life! Community minded, a wonderful grandmother and her love of music with her involvement in the choir. Definitely a life well led.
Although we live so far away, Louisa has always been ‘there’ and I will find it very difficult to realize she has gone.
Goodbye cousin xx
We send Bruce and the family lots of love and sympathy.
