On 27th July 2026 peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by family, in Whanganui hospital, aged 89 years.
Wife of the late Barry Kirkwood.
Much loved mother and mother-in-law of James, Philip and Lisa, Anna and Bruce, the late Jayne, and the late Myles.
Adored Nana of Jeremy, Jared; Solana, Leo, Oliver; Alicia, Sean, Blair, Ayden, and Joel.
Loved great grandmother of Rico, Luca, Kōwhai; Harper, and Milo.
Nana Jennie to Spencer, Eilish, and Emerson.
Thanks to the staff of Whanganui Hospital for their care of Jennie.

Mass will be celebrated for Jennie in St Mary’s Catholic Church, Guyton Street, Whanganui, on Thursday 30th July 2026 at 1.30pm to be followed by interment in the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery.
