Peacefully at Summerset Care Centre, Whanganui, on Tuesday 5 May 2026, aged 97 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Maurice.
Loved mum of Julie and Alex, Linden and Stephen, Ashley and Ashley, the late Brendon and the late Trina, and loyal friend Ian Deane.
Treasured grandma of Kristen, Benjamin, Mitchell, Scott. Skyler, and Mario.
Margaret will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Special thanks to all the staff at Summerset for their exceptional care of our mum.
Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to celebrate Margaret’s life at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 130 Seddon Street, Raetihi, on Monday 11 May 2026 at 1:30 p.m. to be followed by interment in the Raetihi Cemetery.

I have known Margaret for about forty years. After I moved from Wanganui to Huntly thirty years ago we kept in contact for many years via telephone, cards and letters, and Margaret visited me on one occasion, then sadly we lost contact, which was a big regret for me, there was no reason, it just happened.
Margaret was a very special, kind caring lady, a friend with a heart of gold.
Rest in Peace Margaret.
